Product Care Instructions

Candle Care Instructions:

Lighting a candle comes with great responsibility. It is important to take the necessary steps to create an atmosphere that lends way to enjoying a safe and delightful sensory journey.  Wood wick candles are even more delicate and thus, when you purchase these candles, you are, in a sense, committing to it's proper care.

1. Find the perfect spot.  You should place your candle in a space free of draft and movement. Windows, doorways, vents are NOT your friend. Surface should be flat and stable and heat resistant.

2. Keep candle away out of reach of children and pets.  We all know our little ones are curious, but not all have 9 lives.

3. NEVER leave a burning candle unattended. An estimated 23,600 residential fires are caused by unattended candles. All preventable. I know it's tempting. I know you want to take that nap or run to the grocery store really quick. I get it. "It'll be really quick." DON'T. DO. IT!  Trust me.  You're welcome.

4. Trim your wick.  Let me repeat that for those in the back - TRIM YOUR WICK! Please for the life of your candle and your bedsheets, TRIM YOUR WICK! The standard is to trim your wick down to 1/4 inch before every light (even your first one). I prefer about an 1/8 inch for wooden wicks.  If you light your candle and your flame immediately shoots to heaven, it's too long. Extinguish, trim some more, then relight.  The flame should be nice and steady. (Pro-tip - get as much of the black off your wick in between lights; it'll keep your candle lookin' purdy and significantly reduce the smoke in your space)

5. Burn until wax pool evenly on top.  This is especially important for your first burn.  It generally takes about 2-3 hours for this  to occur, so if you don't have that time, don't light your candle.  This ensures a safe, even burn - free of that pesky tunneling. Ain't nobody got time for that!  Candles have memory. Light them wrong, and they'll spite you. Again, 2-3 hours is a good time span for burning candles, especially wood wicks, but try not to go over 4 hours at a time.  If you want to light your candle all day, GREAT! Just extinguish. Cool. Trim. Repeat - as many times as you want.

6. Let our candles take you on an olfactory journey.  Take note of the memories they evoke and the feelings that come up.  It is all about the sights, sounds, and smells.  An ALL-factory, sensory adventure.

CLEAN-UP: Never use cleaning products on the wax warmer as the chemicals may release harmful gases when warmed. To clean the wax melts from the warmer, simply wait until the wax has cooled after use and pop the hardened wax out with your hand.  An alternative is to place multiple cotton balls on the warmer to soak up the liquid wax immediately after turning off the warmer. Be careful not to make skin contact with the warmer or hot wax.

4. To refresh the fragrance, carefully flip the reeds every 3-4 days.

5. Keep diffuser away from children and pets at all times.

6. Wash your hands if you come in contact with the oils.

5. Keep diffuser away from children and pets at all times.

PS. You can hang these in small spaces like closets (doesn't have to be your car)

Bath Salt Care Instructions:

1. Fill your bathtub half-way with warm water before adding bath salts

2. Pour 1-2 spoons of bath salts under the running water to help dissolve faster.  You may add more as desired.

3. Swish the bath water around to ensure all salt grains have fully dissolved.

4. Soak and relax for 15-30 minutes in the therapeutic bath water.

Other Uses:

Foot Soak: Add 1/2 a cup of salts into basin with warm water to create foot soak; soak for 20 mins

Body Scrub: Mix with body oil of choice to make a body scrub.  Salt is coarse, so be sure to avoid heavy scrubbing and the face.

Shower Steamer: Sprinkle a little on the shower floor to create a steam shower.

Note: Not for consumption. External use only. If you have sensitive skin, please do a patch test 24 hours before use.  If you feel faint, dizzy or ill, get out of the bath immediately.  Keep out of reach of children and pets.  Wash out your tub after use. Be careful when stepping out of tub/shower as oils may cause it to become slippery.

Solid Perfume Instructions:

1. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY! Gently swipe your finger across the surface of the perfume. Warm a small amount between your thumb and index finger.

2. Dab (do not rub! This will "crush" your perfume) onto pulse points of choice: wrists, neck, throat, inner elbows, back of your ears or EVEN knees (I know - a weird one hehe). Why pulse points?! These are where your blood vessels are closest to surface of skin and your body heart will help activate and diffuse the scent.

3. Reapply as needed throughout the day to refresh.

PRO TIPS:

  • For longer lasting scent, MOISTURIZE & hydrate your skin prior to application. Especially if you tend you have drier skin. This step is a game-changer.
  • Apply a little to your clothing, bedding and even hair for a longer-lasting, soothing experience.
  • Layer your scents to create your own signature scent.  One of my favorite combos is The Covenant layered with London Fog!
